The Country of Bells.

Ding. Dong. Ding. Dong.
A girl stood staring into nothingness, her long dark hair swaying in the gentle breeze.
Ding. Dong. Ding. Dong.
She clutched the doll in her hands, her nails digging into her palms as she squeezed her eyes shut.
Ding. Dong. Ding, Dong.
A blood curdling scream pierced through the cold night.
Ding. Dong. Ding.
The bells sighed.
Ding. Dong.
A body slumped beside it, red liquid painting its bronze shell.
Ding.
The bells stood still, satisfied.
