Silence.

The silence is so loud.

Bells toll in the background.

DING. DONG. DING. DONG.

But I hear only you.

The birds sing and the thunder growls.

But my ears,

They can only hear the silence between us speak now.

It tells me of the grief between us two.

The tension and anger from both me and you. 

It yells at me loud and clear. 

That I should never have held you so dear. 

The silence I once loved between me and you. 

The quiet silence,
Comfortable and gentle. 

Has fled and left me in rue. 

And now all I have is a silence that breaks me in two.
